Amazon Textract Queries pricing

0

I started exploring Amazon Textract for my use case and Queries and possibly Custom Queries will be an important part of the solution. I went through the pricing documentation, but could not find whether there is a limit to the number of queries per billable page or not. In the pricing example 5, the documentation states: "You also want to extract 10 specific data points from each page via Queries.". Could this number be 100 data points, or 1000 data points? Does it affect the price?

Hi,

the pricing for Textract Queries is based on the amount of pages. So, the cost per query depend on the amount of pages that you are querying. The number of results do not matter. That means if you run 10 queries on 1000 pages each, you are paying 10 (queries) * 1000 (pages) * $0.015 ($15 per 1000 pages) =$75.

Custom queries are charged $25 per 1000 pages.

Calculation is based on current pricing in us-east-1 and for the first 1 million pages in a month, see https://aws.amazon.com/textract/pricing/

There is a limit on queries per page outlined in the Bedrock FAQ: "Queries are processed on a per page basis and information can be extracted using Queries via both synchronous or asynchronous operations. For synchronous operations, a maximum of 15 Queries per page is supported. For asynchronous operations, a maximum of 30 queries per page is supported."
