Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender

0

Hi,

I have a question; i received this error on several e-mails i tried to send.

"Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender. You are currently not allowed to send this e-mail. Please try again later.

2024-11-29 11:19:43 : An error occurred while trying to deliver the mail to the following recipients: [REDACTED]

Technical report:

Final-Recipient: rfc822; [REDACTED] Status: 5.0.0"

I read on this forum that i could be that i went over the e-mail limit. But i've only send around 230 e-mails this week. I also did not receive an e-mail or a notification in the AWS Health Dashboard. So i do not know how to fix this issue!

Does anyone have some advise on the possible next steps i can take?

Based on the error message you received, it appears that you are experiencing an issue with sending emails through your AWS account. This error can occur for several reasons, but given the information you've provided, here are some possible explanations and next steps:

  1. Sending limits: While you mentioned sending only around 230 emails this week, it's important to note that AWS WorkMail has a daily sending limit of 10,000 recipients per user in a rolling 24-hour period. However, there might be additional restrictions or limits applied to your specific account.

  2. Account restrictions: In some cases, AWS may apply restrictions to accounts that have violated terms of service or triggered certain security measures. This can happen without immediate notification on the AWS Health Dashboard.

  3. Technical issues: There could be temporary technical issues with the email service that are causing this error.

Given these possibilities, here are some recommended next steps:

  1. Double-check your sending activity: Ensure that you haven't exceeded any daily or hourly limits. Sometimes, automated processes or other users on the same account could contribute to reaching these limits without your knowledge.

  2. Contact AWS Support: Since you haven't received any notifications and can't find information in the AWS Health Dashboard, the best course of action would be to reach out to AWS Support. They can provide specific information about your account status, any applied restrictions, and how to resolve the issue.

  3. Review account standing: Ensure that your AWS account is in good standing, with no outstanding bills or compliance issues.

  4. Check for any recent changes: If you've made any recent changes to your email configurations or AWS settings, consider if these might be impacting your ability to send emails.

  5. Temporary workaround: If possible, try sending critical emails through an alternative method or service while you work to resolve this issue with AWS.

Remember, AWS Support is the most reliable source for account-specific information and can provide tailored guidance to resolve your email sending issues.
