Account suspended 3 days after AWS confirmed verification completed - two support cases still unassigned

-1

My AWS account (ID 527153282021) was suspended with the message "Your AWS account was suspended because your account details couldn't be verified."

I submitted the requested verification information, and on Monday September 1, 2026 at 8:50 PM IST I received an email from AWS with the subject "Customer verification successfully completed", confirming that verification had passed and that no further action was required from my end.

Despite that confirmation, the account has remained suspended for three days. I have confirmed this using a fresh incognito sign-in.

There are no outstanding payments:

  • Outstanding balance: Rs 0.00
  • Payments due: 0
  • Past-due invoices: 0

I have opened two support cases, both still showing as Unassigned:

  • Case *************** (opened Sep 1, filed under Account / General question)
  • Case *************** (opened Sep 2, filed under Account Activation / Account Verification)

Neither case has received a response. I am on Basic Support, so phone and chat are not available on these case categories.

Could someone advise how to get the suspension flag manually reviewed when verification has already been confirmed complete? Any guidance on escalating a case that has been unassigned this long would be appreciated.

Edit: Removed case ID — Sage A.

I understand how frustrating it is to have your account suspended even after receiving confirmation that verification was completed. This type of situation can occur when there's a delay in the system updating the account status, or when additional internal review steps are still in progress.

Since you're on the Basic Support plan, your support cases are handled through the AWS Support Center with response times that can vary based on case volume and complexity. For account-related issues like suspension, the response may take longer as these cases often require review by specialized teams.

Here are your best options to move forward:

  1. Add correspondence to your existing cases through the AWS Support Center at https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/. Provide any additional context about the timeline and the verification confirmation you received. This can help bring attention to your cases.

  2. Consider reviewing your AWS Support plan options. Business, Enterprise On-Ramp, and Enterprise Support plans offer faster response times and additional support channels that can be particularly valuable when dealing with time-sensitive account issues.

  3. Continue monitoring your cases through the Support Center. Account suspension cases are typically prioritized, though resolution timelines can vary.

For account verification and suspension issues, the specialized teams handling these cases need to complete their review process even after initial verification is confirmed. While the delay is understandably concerning, the support team will work through your cases in order. Adding updates to your existing cases rather than opening new ones will help ensure continuity in the review process.
