Who created this re:Post software? Was it created in-house at Amazon or did a third-party create it?

It was developed by a team at AWS.

Over the last four years, AWS re:Post has been used internally by AWS employees helping customers with their cloud journeys. Today, that same trusted technical guidance becomes available to the entire AWS community. Additionally, all active users from the previous AWS Forums have been migrated onto AWS re:Post, as well as the most-viewed content.

Questions from AWS Premium Support customers that do not receive a response from the community are passed on to AWS Support engineers. If the question is related to a customer-specific workload, AWS support will open a support case to take the conversation into a private setting. Note, however, that AWS re:Post is not intended to be used for questions that are time-sensitive or involve any proprietary information, such as customer account details, personally identifiable information, or AWS account resource data.

You can look at this blog if you need more information.

Hopefully you can receive notifications when answers were posted but like Andrew mentioned re:Post is created in-house and not by a third party.

That being said, please do accept answers if the answers resolve your question. That's a best practice in Q&A communities both for other viewers and also out of respect to other's time spent answering the questions.

As always, Happy Cloud Computing.

  • Explain how you and Andrew know that this software was created in-house.

  • Because there is a pizza team behind it and go back to Dhilipvenkatesh_U's answer as well?

  • A question like mine can only be answered if you're either an Amazon employee, you're one of the developers (assuming a third party), or by providing a link to something that answers the question (most likely written by an Amazon employee). As far as I can tell, the question has not yet been answered.

  • You might not have noticed the AWS icon on some of our avatars implies the respondent is an AWS employee.

  • Fair enough. I'll accept the answer.

So, this software was created from scratch by a team at Amazon?

  • While we are not allowed to disclose implementation details, as a general software development process today, nothing is "from scratch" scratch. There are many open source frameworks that may have played a role in re:Post, and other systems. And obviously, AWS services could have also supported re:Post. But by saying "developed by a team at AWS" it means the construction, like the UX, actual development etc. are owned by AWS team.

User Dhilipvenkatesh_U is not actually answering my question, nor do the links provided have the answer. User Andrew_B doesn't appear to have any inside knowledge of the software's source, so this question is still not answered.
