Hello.
It seems like AWS support is experiencing a high volume of inquiries regarding billing lately, and it's taking a very long time to receive a response.
I also contacted AWS billing support a few days ago with a question, but it took a long time to get a reply.
It seems we'll just have to wait patiently.

I understand your frustration with the unassigned billing support case and the unexpected QuickSight charges. Here's what you should know:
Support Case Response Times: AWS Support response times vary based on your support plan. If you have Basic Support (free tier), you only have access to customer service for account and billing questions, but response times are not guaranteed. Developer, Business, and Enterprise support plans have defined response time SLAs based on case severity.
For Billing Issues: Billing and account support cases are typically handled through the AWS Support Center. Since your cases remain unassigned after 7 days, I recommend:
- Check your support plan level - Verify what support tier you have, as this affects response times
- Try the AWS Billing Console directly - Navigate to the Billing and Cost Management console to review charges and dispute options
- Contact AWS through alternative channels - Consider using the "Contact Us" option in the AWS Management Console for account-specific billing concerns
Regarding QuickSight Charges: QuickSight subscriptions continue until explicitly canceled. The charges you're seeing for Author Pro, Amazon Q in QuickSight, and SPICE capacity are standard subscription fees that accrue monthly. Deleting the account was the correct step to stop future charges.
One-Time Courtesy Refunds: AWS does evaluate requests for courtesy adjustments on a case-by-case basis, particularly for unused services after trial periods. However, I cannot guarantee approval or provide specific timelines for your refund review.
Since your cases remain unassigned, I'd recommend checking if there are any pending actions required from your end in the Support Center, or consider opening a new case specifically requesting escalation of your billing dispute.
