Why am I unable to authenticate to my WorkSpace Web Portal?

Hello there!

As the error message – “Unauthorized access to web portal You have not been assigned access to this WorkSpaces Web portal. Contact your IT administrator to assign you access in AWS IAM Identity Center.”, mentions the permissions related issue. There are a couple things to check to possibly resolve this error –

1. Check if the account is included as a user and as a member of the group in IAM Identity Center.
2. Check if the IAM policies attached to the permission sets in IAM Identity Center are configured to allow the necessary actions for the service ‘workspace-web’,
3. If you have an IP Access Control Group configured, check if your IP is allowed access.
4. Check AWS Organizations SCPs to ensure that ‘workspaces-web’ is not denied.
