Anthropic FTU form blocked despite verified IAM, Marketplace, Billing, and Bedrock service status "Your account is not authorized to perform this action"

0

Hello,

ISSUE: FTU form submission for Anthropic models returns "Your account is not authorized to perform this action. Please create a support case (https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/home) with details about your use case and we will get back to you." despite all prerequisites being verified.

COMPLETE DIAGNOSTICS VERIFIED:

  • IAM: bedrock:PutUseCaseForModelAccess present (AmazonBedrockFullAccess)
  • Marketplace: Subscribe, ViewSubscriptions, Unsubscribe permissions attached
  • Payment: Valid Visa card on file (expires 05/2031), set as default
  • Billing: No past due charges, account in good standing
  • SCP Policies: No AWS Organization, no SCPs blocking
  • Personal Health Dashboard: 0 open issues
  • Service Health: Bedrock operational in us-east-1
  • Tested from: Owner account AND IAM user - SAME ERROR

ERROR REPRODUCED:

  • Console: FTU form → "Your account is not authorized"
  • CLI: aws bedrock invoke-model → ValidationException - Operation not allowed

I tried reaching to support. I have business support+ but havent heard from them. Its been 2days. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Ok i found out the issue. I have a new account and because of that they need to see more activity. You can reach out to the sales support chat and they can help you out. You will talk to a real person. I now have a meeting scheduled tomorrow at 11 with a rep and a technical developer to help solve the problem.

Here are the links:

  1. Via form: https://aws.amazon.com/contact-us/sales-support/
  2. Via Live Chat: https://pages.awscloud.com/live-chat-contact-us.html 5:30am - 4:00pm (Pacific) Monday - Friday
