Can't create a new AWS Amplify application due to "Houston, there's a problem"

2

I'm trying to create a new app with AWS Amplify console but in the last step I'm always receiving the error

"Houston, there's a problem We are unable to process your request. Please reach out to your support representative."

  • Next.js latest version
  • GitLab private repository

How can I proceed with that?

  • Got the same error message. Unfortunately, the error message is not helpful at all: no indication what causes (or might cause) the issue. I encountered the problem while trying to roll out an application via CDK (which used to work previously) and also by trying to connect to the referred GitHub repo by using the Amplify console by following the "Amplify Hosting" wizard while I was searching for a cause. Same error message.

Maybe someone faced the same problem and was able to resolve it?

  • After getting in touch a second time with the support the service team took a look and it works now again for me.

  • I am facing the same issues with my developer account, I am getting below error while trying to host existing app or creating new app: "Houston, there's a problem We are unable to process your request. Please reach out to your support representative." I wont be able to log service ticket with developer account. Let me know if you have any suggestions

This error seems to be related to the free tier quotas or billing. Because after I was charged the deployment was completed with no errors.
