How to find list of static IPs that are not connected with any instance yet added

Question

I had few Lightsail instances connected with static IPs. I deleted those instances without deleting static IPs. I understand static IPs that are not connected to instances will incur cost. So I need to ensure that static IPs are deleted.

Answer

You can find them in the VPC console, under "Elastic IPs".  Look for ones that aren't Associated with any resource.

Static IPs can be viewed in the Networking tab. Static IPs not attached to an instance will display a warning that they are not currently in use.
