Question about enabling tag policies for entire organization

Hello,

My company is wanting to enable tag policies for all resources. I found the setting for this on our consolidated billing, but I am unclear on what this will actually do. I am concerned that enabling tag policies will cause an issue.

Is anyone able to provide a summary of what enabling tag policies does?

Here is the documentation for this within AWS Organizations, Tag policies. Most of your questions are answered there. Good to use caution with this feature.
