Can an AFI support on the fly partial reconfiguration through providing AWS multiple DCPs or a partially reconfigurable DCP?

The goal is to have an FPGA in an F1 instance that can be partially reconfigured on the fly to support a variety of use cases. Could this be done through providing AWS a DCP that in itself partially reconfigurable so that the AFI produced can be partially reconfigured on the fly? Or perhaps could the developer provide multiple DCPs that could be loaded compiled onto the AFI and be loaded on the fly?

Hello,

Thank you for posting your query. I understand that you would like to know if it is possible to have a DCP that is reconfigurable, which in turn would allow the AFI to be reconfigurable.

AWS Support has limited expertise on this subject and typically provide support on existing customer resources. With that said, the Github project is the best place to contact the service team directly, with regards to FPGA and AFI's[1]:

Furthermore, I have found that your user created a similar query on re:Post, where some guidance on this topic has been provided: https://repost.aws/questions/QUIjNk4calSDm_aa0gsX3KPA/can-we-live-switch-multiple-dcps-in-a-single-afi

If the information on that re:Post query does not completely answer your query, then I would suggest posting the query directly to the service team on the Github project.
