Addition of email address in account level suppression list not working

0

Hello AWS Community,

We are experiencing an issue with Amazon SES account level suppression list. Due to some misconfiguration in our application, we initiated sending mails in recursive manner at specific email address. We wanted to stop it, so that we have added that email address in suppression list with reason as Bounce. But user is still receiving emails.

Could someone please guide if we are doing anything wrong here.

Thank you.

Hi

  • Suppression lists might have a delay in updating. It's possible the emails were sent before the address was fully added to the list.
  • Check your configuration - Log in to the AWS Management Console and access the Amazon SES console. Navigate to "Configuration" -> "Suppression list". In the "Account-level settings" pane, check if "Enabled" is selected and the chosen suppression reason includes "Bounce". Enter image description here
  • If you're using configuration sets for sending emails, ensure none of them have specific settings allowing emails to the suppressed address. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/dg/sending-email-suppression-list.html
