Need Assistance with DMS Ongoing Replication Setup - Configuration Error in my.ini File

0

Hello Every one, I've successfully set up a DMS migration to MYSQL 5.7 between two EC2 Instances , but I'm encountering an issue when attempting to establish ongoing replication. The system prompted me to add specific configurations to my.ini file in the source server, which include the following: "[mysqld] log-bin=mysql-bin server-id=1 bind-address = 0.0.0.0" However, after incorporating these settings, the service fails to restart again. Could someone kindly assist me in resolving this issue? Your expertise is greatly appreciated. Note: the OS is windows server 2012

Thank you!

Hello,

For Windows, you may want to specify the exact path to the log-bin. Below are some other settings that are recommended for MySQL with DMS. Make sure you follow the correct format and there are no spaces around the =. It looks like in your example you have bind-address = 0.0.0.0 instead of bind-address=0.0.0.0.

server_id=1
log-bin=E:\MySql_Logs\BinLog
expire_logs_days=1
binlog_format=ROW
binlog_checksum=NONE
binlog_row_image=FULL
log_slave_updates=TRUE

Make sure the log-bin points to a real path, the example uses an external drive, but your location may be on C:\.
