Windows task scheduler EC2 not working if not logged on

1

Hi,

I have an issue with the Windows Task Scheduler on an EC2 instance. if I'm logged in and the "Run only when the user is logged on" option is checked, it works just fine, but if i check "Run whether user is logged on or not" it doesn't even if I'm logged, and since my instance is scheduled to turn off and on several times a day this option is mandantory.

I've tried configuring it with the default administrator user, also creating a new user and adding it to "Log on as batch jobs," and I've also tried creating a simple BAT o .txt file to rule out any issues with directly executing the .net application. I've also tried enabling/disabling the "Run with highest privileges" option, It's strange that according to the task manager history, the task executes normally as the picture below shows, even though it hasn't. However, in the Event Viewer, it can be verified that it has failed due to some error related to the kernel

  • Could you please post the error details from these two error entries? It will help diagnose the issue.
