Greengrass, deploy component to specific directory

Question

Hi all,

In my case, our device has limited storage. I understand that if deploy component to device the artifacts and recipes are deploy to packages directory. 
component directory: /greengrass/v2/packages

In our device, i want to configure partitions one for the greengrass & CLI install and the other for the components that we deployment.
Is it possible to deploy component to specific directory?

Hello,

Thank you for posting the question. Unfortunately Greengrass doesn't offer a way to customize the component locations as you specified. However you can set the Greengrass root directory to be on a different partition with `Droot` installer argument https://docs.aws.amazon.com/greengrass/v2/developerguide/configure-installer.html   
Can you tell us a little more about why you would like to deploy Greengrass Nucleus & CLI on one partition and other components on a different partition?
