Amazon SES Production Access request pending with no response after follow-ups

-1

Hello AWS Team,

I'm looking for guidance regarding an Amazon SES Production Access request that appears to be stuck. For reference, my case ID is: ***************

Details:

Region: ap-south-1 Case Type: SES Production Access Case Created on Thu Jul 02 2026 Current Status: Reopened

On the same day the request was created, AWS requested additional information about my use case. I provided all the requested details immediately, including my email-sending process and intended use.

Since then:

I have followed up multiple times through the original support case. I also opened another support case requesting a status update. My production access case remains reopened, and I have not received any response from the SES review team since it was created.

I'm trying to understand whether this delay is expected and if there is any way to have the existing production access case reviewed or routed to the appropriate team.

If any additional information is required from my side, I'd be happy to provide it.

Has anyone experienced a similar delay, or is there an AWS-recommended process for escalating a production access request that has been pending for this long?

Thank you for your time and assistance.

*Edit: Removed case ID — Doug S.

I understand you're waiting for a response on your Amazon SES Production Access request. While I can't access specific details about your support case, I can provide some guidance on the process.

Amazon SES Production Access requests are reviewed by a specialized team that evaluates each request to ensure compliance with AWS policies and email best practices. The review process can sometimes take time, especially if additional information is needed or if there's a high volume of requests.

Since you've already provided the requested information through your existing case, the best course of action is to continue adding correspondence directly to that case through the AWS Support Center at https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/. This ensures your updates reach the team handling your request and keeps all communication in one place.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Make sure all the information you provided addresses the specific questions asked, including details about your email-sending practices, how you manage bounces and complaints, and how you obtained your recipient list
  • Verify that your use case clearly demonstrates compliance with AWS Acceptable Use Policy and email sending best practices
  • Ensure you've described your process for handling unsubscribe requests

If you feel your current support plan doesn't provide the response times you need for your business requirements, you may want to review your AWS Support plan options, as different support tiers offer different response time commitments.

Continue monitoring your case through the AWS Support Center, where you can add any additional clarifying information that might help expedite the review.
