Configuring Email Notifications for AWS Config Rule Changes using SNS Delivery Method

  1. If I choose to use an SNS topic as the delivery method in the AWS Config settings section, and I have already configured the SNS topic and subscription, will I receive any email notifications? If so, under what conditions will I receive them?
  2. If I want to receive email notifications for non-compliant resources in AWS Config, what steps do I need to take? Is setting up the delivery method sufficient, or is there anything else required?

Note: Don't want to set manual or auto Remediation action.
