Bedrock knowledge bases do not update after modifying a Data Source file

When I delete a file from the bucket used in my knowledge base's data source and ask a question related to this deleted file, a response is still generated referencing the already deleted file. I'm running a StartIngestionJob every time a file is uploaded, deleted or modified and I still have this problem. What can I do?

Hi THere

After you delete the object from the S3 bucket and run StartIngestionJob, what is the status of the ingestion job? Are you seeing any files deleted or errors in the statistics? You can check in the console or by using the GetIngestionJob API Call. Check thenumberOfDocumentsDeleted and numberOfDocumentsFailed statistics.

    The Status was success, with no failures or file errors. The next day I performed the same actions and it worked as expected, I believe it was a temporary problem with the Knowledge Base using Aurora PostgreSQL
