How to get a promotional code for credits?

Sign up for AWS Educate:

Accessing Credits:

Once your AWS Educate application is approved, you will receive access to AWS Promotional Credits. These credits will be automatically added to your AWS account associated with AWS Educate.

Redeem Credits:

• Log in to your AWS Management Console.
• Navigate to the AWS Billing and Cost Management Dashboard.
• Go to the "Credits" section or "Billing Preferences" to apply the credits towards eligible AWS services.
• Follow the prompts to redeem and use the credits for your AWS usage.

I already have a AWS account for private use (created a couple of months ago). Can I use this one to get the 300$ credit or it has to be educational account etc ?
