The issue you're encountering is that the m6i.metal instance type does not support UEFI boot mode, which is the default boot mode for Windows Server 2025 AMIs. Metal instance sizes have this limitation with UEFI boot for Windows Server.
To launch Windows Server 2025 on m6i.metal instances, you need to use a BIOS-based AMI instead of the default UEFI AMI. AWS provides a specific AMI for this purpose called 'BIOS-Windows_Server-2025-English-Full-Base'. You should look for an AMI with the 'BIOS-' prefix in its name when selecting your Windows Server 2025 image.
When launching your instance, instead of using the default Quick Start Windows Server 2025 AMI (which uses UEFI), search for and select the BIOS variant of the Windows Server 2025 AMI. This will allow you to successfully launch the instance on your m6i.metal dedicated host, as the boot modes will be compatible.
