Problem with renewing or validating certificate

0

I used to do it with e-mail but the European Union has some law that makes domain information private so the contact e-mail cannot be found for my domain so no renewal e-mail can be sent to me. So I tried to set up e-mail for my domain so that one of the default e-mail addresses would work, but my load balancer has to use a CNAME for the root domain which makes the MX record useless, as far as I can understand. So no e-mail that way. That leaves the DNS option. But my domain provider does not seem to allow underscores in the name field of a CNAME. This leaves me with no way to renew or validate certificates. What are my options besides waiting for my website to become unreachable?

But seriously, do I have any good options? I guess I could shut down access through the root domain long enough to set up an email address to validate the certificates but that seems drastic.

For some reason I have certificates for the same domain but they are hosted at US East (N. Virginia) instead of US West (Oregon), where my server is hosted and the soon to be expired certificates. Those US East certificates were renewed, I don't know how. Can I use them for the server in US West?
