Achieving Zero downtime during minor and major upgrades while using Aurora Global database

I am running a mission critical database where I cannot afford to have any downtime.
I am planning to use Aurora Global database in multi-region to achieve DR.
How can I achieve absolutely zero downtime at the database while minor and major database upgrades?

Hello.
How about disabling the Global Database configuration and then re-configuring the Global Database after updating with Blue/Green deployment?
As of July 2025, blue/green deployment is not available for Aurora Global Database, so you must first disable global database in order to use it.
