No response after 1 week - Accidentally deleted Builder ID, lost access to Cloud Practitioner certification

0

Hello AWS re:Post Moderators,

I'm requesting help escalating my case. It has been over a week with no response.

Case ID: ***************

What happened: I accidentally deleted my AWS Builder ID linked to my personal email. I had an active AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification associated with it. Now I get "This email is not eligible for signup" when trying to sign up again, and I cannot access Certmetrics since it requires the deleted Builder ID.

I have proof my certification still exists in AWS Partner Central under my company's account - it shows my name, certification, award date (2026-02-04), and expiration date (2029-02-04).

I would appreciate help escalating my case to recover or re-link my certification to a new Builder ID.

Thank you.

Edit: Removed case ID — Sage A.

  • Hi, did you get any solution for this, I too deleted my builder id and lost access to certmetrics, please help, if you got the solution

I understand you're concerned about not receiving a response on your support case regarding your deleted Builder ID and Cloud Practitioner certification access. For updates or to add additional information to your existing case, please visit the AWS Support Center at https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/ where you can view your case status and add correspondence directly.

Regarding your certification access issue: AWS Builder ID is the authentication method for accessing AWS Training and Certification services, including Certmetrics. When a Builder ID is deleted, it can create access challenges for your certification records. Since you can see your certification details in AWS Partner Central, your certification record itself still exists in AWS systems.

For certification-specific issues like this, you may also want to reach out directly to AWS Training and Certification support, as they handle certification account and access matters. They can assist with linking your existing certification to a new Builder ID or resolving the "email not eligible for signup" error you're encountering.

If you need faster response times for future support cases, you might consider reviewing your AWS Support plan options, as different support tiers offer different response time commitments based on case severity.
