Do SELECT statements get destined to the read-only endpoint of the cluster?

Hello.

As far as I read the explanation in the document below, it seems that when you access RDS Proxy's reader endpoint, the request is sent to Aurora's reader instance.
Also, since an error occurs when using the RDS Proxy reader endpoint when there is no reader instance on the Aurora side, I think the request is being sent to the reader instance.

  • Yep, I can appreciate that, but that doesn't tell me if there's an endpoint switching depending on the SQL verb.
