Cannot create AWS Glue job

0

I cannot create an AWS Glue job. I am trying to create one of the Glue sample jobs, or a new job from a blank graph. I have followed all the instructions to set up IAM permissions for my account and my user. My user has AmazonS3FullAccess, AmazonGlueConsoleFullAccess. I have created a new role AWSGlueServiceRoleDefault which shows access allowed to AWS Glue, Amazon S3, Amazon EC2. I have a payment method on my account.

  • OP here: I have figured out that the problem, whatever it is, is with the AWS account, which was created some years ago. Since it has a valid payment method, it is not clear what is the problem, but I was able to create a new account and create a simple (nonrunnable) job, from the root user, without doing anything else.

Hello.

It seems that the answerer of the URL below was able to resolve the issue by contacting AWS Support.

Since this issue is probably an issue with your AWS account, I recommend that you open a case with AWS Support under "Account and billing".
Inquiries under "Account and billing" can be made free of charge.
