Hello.
Have you completed all the steps of the domain transfer process outlined in the document below?
I have also previously encountered a situation where a domain transfer failed because DNSSEC was enabled.
Since domain transfers involve such specific requirements, I recommend reviewing all the information provided in the following documentation.
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/Route53/latest/DeveloperGuide/domain-transfer-to-route-53.html#domain-transfer-overview
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/Route53/latest/DeveloperGuide/domain-transfer-checklist.html
When you encounter a "We can't finish registering your domain" error in Route 53, there are several common issues to investigate while you wait for a response from your existing case:
Payment and Billing Verification:
- Verify that your payment method is valid and has sufficient funds or credit available
- Check if your credit card has been declined or if there are any holds from your financial institution
- Review your AWS Billing and Cost Management console for any failed charges or alerts
- Ensure your payment method hasn't expired
Account Verification Status:
- Confirm that your AWS account is fully verified and in good standing
- Check if there are any pending verification requirements for your account
- Look for any emails from AWS requesting additional account verification
Domain-Specific Considerations:
- Some domain registrations require additional verification or documentation depending on the TLD (top-level domain)
- Certain domains may have specific eligibility requirements or restrictions
- Verify that the contact information you provided meets the requirements for the domain's registry
Regarding Retrying Registration: It's generally advisable to wait for confirmation from AWS Support through the AWS Support Center before attempting to register the same domain again. Multiple failed attempts could complicate troubleshooting, and you want to avoid potential duplicate charges or conflicts. Since domain registration issues can have various underlying causes that aren't always visible to customers, AWS Support will be able to review your specific account details and registration attempts to identify the exact issue.
You can add any additional information or updates to your existing case through the AWS Support Center at https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/ to help expedite the resolution.

I am trying to register a new domain. Its first registration. I am not trying to transfer one but i am trying to register a completely new domain in a new account.
Hi, Has your issue been resolved? How soon do they get back to you? If not, I can see the case needs to be under billing, domains, registration issue, not sure whether that matters or not. I'm having the same problem, am waiting.
