Hosting React Applications on S3

0

Customer is designing a serverless application where they plan to have a React based website on S3. At the backend the application makes API calls to API Gateway endpoint to read and write data into DynamoDB using Lambda functions.

Wanted to understand if the above architecture would work and if any customers have already implemented this. Also, are there any drawbacks with this design.

What you're describing is the exact architecture for how you should deploy that (use S3 for static content; use CloudFront; then API Gateway/DynamoDB for the dynamic part of the website).

It's a pretty big problem space though - and exact guidance is going to depend on a lot of things that customer is doing.
