I had to enable the new console to be able to see the new account suppression list which fixes my issue I was having.

Did you review both the global suppression list and the account-level suppression list? see https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/dg/lists-and-subscriptions.html.

I read the document again and now I am able to find the suppression list to be able to take the that email off the list. What I missed was that I had to set the console to the new console then the suppression list option became available for me to use.
