[Bug Report] Enabling Performance Insights on RDS MySQL leads to memory leak

1

I have been struggling with the following issue. When using MySQL 8.0.32+ (maybe previous versions as well) and enabling performance insights in RDS, my instances start leaking memory. It is very obvious and easy to notice when looking at the "Freable Memory" Graph of RDS. Roughly every 2 hours the available memory on the instance goes down and this process never stops until it starts filling up the swap. This is particularly noticeable on larger instances with a lot of writes and reads and very hard to notice on small instances that don't do much work anyway. After disabling Performance Insights and rebooting the instances, the memory leak disappears. So atm, I'm just stuck not using performance insights on any of the larger databases in our production env. Enter image description here

Anyway, this is not really a question and is rather intended as a bug report, in the hopes that someone from AWS will notice an hopefully fix that in the future. Thanks!
