ACM has bad email addresses for a new certificate

0

I requested a certificate yesterday for one subdomain on our domain and, using email validation, got the emails and validated the certificate. Today, for another subdomain on the same domain, ACM is listing the email addresses as "admin@, administrator@, ...", i.e., without any domain name.

How do I get ACM to use the right email addresses?

Please ensure the contact email address in your WHOIS record are correct (including domain name), AWS Certificate Manager uses these email address as they appear in your WHOIS record.

Per documentation here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/acm/latest/userguide/email-validation.html

Email messages are sent to the following three registered contact addresses in WHOIS:
- Domain registrant
- Technical contact
- Administrative contact
