Hello Community, please perform all the steps in the following official AWS link https://aws.amazon.com/getting-started/hands-on/deploying-low-latency-applications-with-aws-local-zones/

but when creating the instance it throws me the following error: "The currently requested configuration is not supported. See documentation for supported configurations"

Review the characteristics of the Local Zones and it appears that some services for Chile are about to arrive

Do you know if they have a date available?

As per https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/global-infrastructure/localzones/locations/ Santiago is available, is this what you're using?

Only specific EC2 types and sizes will be available. For example the Perth Local Zone that just launched a few days ago has only 5 possible type/size combinations; C5 is listed but actually only c5.2xlarge is available, no other sizes. Best to check on the EC2 Pricing page what's available for your Local Zone and try spinning up one of those.

  • Thanks, Skinsman I managed to solve it effectively. The way is to look for the calculator and specify the version specifically.
