cloud9 lightsail create-instance fails

No matter what name i use i get this error: An error occurred (InvalidInputException) when calling the CreateInstances operation: Some names are already in use:

Lightsail throws this exception"InvalidInputException " when user input does not conform to the validation rules of an input field. Domain and distribution APIs are only available in the N. Virginia (us-east-1) AWS Region. I recommend you to set your AWS Region configuration to us-east-1 to create, view, or edit these resources.

please consider raising a ticket with AWS Support[1] for further assistance with this issue.

  • I was following the create the LAMP example. What i found is that when i create the keypair the name is added I am unable to create the instance. If i delete the keypair the i can create the instance albeit I can then not create a key pair using aws lightsail cli
