Hi All,

Did you guys know how to identify or calculate the average cost for each bill id in the cost explorer graph by monthly? I try to find it using the filters in the right section but it seems i can't find one.

I really appreciate for your fast reply.

Thank you.

To calculate the average cost for each bill ID in AWS Cost Explorer, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the AWS Management Console, navigate to the Billing Dashboard, and then select Cost Explorer.

  2. Choose the date range for which you want to calculate the average cost. You can do this by selecting the date range option at the top of the Cost Explorer page.

  3. In the Cost Explorer, find the "Group by" option (usually a dropdown menu or a button). Select "Bill ID" from the list of available grouping options. This will group your costs by each bill ID.

  4. If you want to narrow down your data further, you can apply additional filters. For example, you can filter by service, region, or tag.

  5. Once you've grouped by Bill ID and applied any desired filters, Cost Explorer will display the total cost for each bill ID for the selected time period.

  6. To calculate the average cost for each bill ID, you can export the data to a CSV file and use a spreadsheet program like Excel or Google Sheets. Divide the total cost for each bill ID by the number of days in your selected date range to get the average daily cost.
