Deadline Cloud Houdini 20 Channel

Question

I've setup a Deadline Cloud queue with a custom yaml environment based upon the default and added "houdini=20.0 houdini-openjd" to the configuration. I got this error about Houdini 20: "The following packages are not available from current channels."

Is Houdini 20 available in "deadline-cloud" channel and I'm missing something? If not, is there a channel that provides it? If I get it straight from SideFX (like the Blender example), is licensing handled?

I apologize, but there seems to be a misunderstanding in your configuration. Based on the information available, Houdini 20 is not currently listed as an available package in the "deadline-cloud" channel for Deadline Cloud.

The latest version of Houdini available in the "deadline-cloud" channel is 19.5. This is why you're receiving the error message about the packages not being available from current channels.

To use Houdini 20 with Deadline Cloud, you would need to explore alternative options:

1. Check if there are any updates or newer releases from AWS that might include Houdini 20 support.

2. Consider using Houdini 19.5, which is the version currently supported in the "deadline-cloud" channel.

3. If you need to use Houdini 20 specifically, you may need to set up a custom environment or use a customer-managed fleet where you can install and manage the software yourself.
