NVMe/TCP modules in Amazon linux 2

0

Hi, do we have any reasons for not enabling the NVMe/TCP modules as part of amazon linux 2? As NVMe over TCP is already available in the latest linux kernels, i have explored on one the amz linux instance which had 5.15 kernel. but i dont see the modules enabled. Am i missing any here or there is a way to get this enabled? kernel => 5.15.29-16.111.amzn2022.x86_64

CONFIG_NVME_MULTIPATH is not set

CONFIG_NVME_RDMA is not set

CONFIG_NVME_FC is not set

CONFIG_NVME_TCP is not set

CONFIG_NVME_TARGET is not set

Hi Inbaraj , I understand that you have explored on one of amazon linux instance which had a 5.15 kernel but you are not able to see the modules that are enabled. Please correct me if I misunderstood.

Amazon Linux 2 does not have NVMe_TCP modules yet.

I would recommend you submit a ticket with amazon Premium Support on this link[1] concerning enabling these modules as well as submitting a feature request for the modules to be included and enabled by default in the future releases of Amazon Linux 2

I would also advise you to keep an eye on what’s new for future releases on this link [2]
