Account ************ is denied access while creating an aws glue crawler. I'm trying as a root account user.

I've been trying to work around this for hours now. I've experimented with all different kinds of permissions but wasn't able to solve the issue. I saw similar questions posted by others but saw no answers to this issue.

I'm logged in as a root user and my account is not managed by organizations.

Can anybody help me?

Hello.

If your AWS account is managed by Organizations, please check whether Glue operations are not denied by SCP.
If you are not denied by SCP etc. and cannot operate as root user, there may be a problem with your AWS account, so I recommend that you open a case with AWS Support under "Account and billing".
Inquiries under "Account and billing" can be made free of charge.

Hi,

Given your context (logged as admin and no AWS org), your issue is probably more related to the auths granted to the execution role of the Glue crawler.

See https://stackoverflow.com/questions/51899441/aws-glue-access-denied-for-crawler-with-administrator-policy-attached for various issues reported in different use cases with their solutions.

Best,

Didier
