How to register on AWS Marketplace?

To register as a seller on AWS Marketplace and publish content, follow this comprehensive step-by-step process:

Initial Setup: First, you'll need an AWS account. It's recommended to create a dedicated AWS account specifically for your AWS Marketplace seller activities and add it to an AWS Organization as a best practice.

Registration Process: The registration involves completing several sequential steps:

1. Register and Create Your Seller Profile: Select your AWS account to use as your primary AWS Marketplace account. You'll need to provide:

• Legal company name (must be unique across all AWS Marketplace sellers)
• Valid government-issued photo ID
• Business tax ID and tax registration location
• Alliance lead contact and email
• Information for your public profile including display name, company website, company description, and contact information

2. Provide Tax Information: Submit your tax information and VAT information (where applicable) to ensure accurate tax reporting and withholding.

3. Provide Bank Account Information: For paid products, you must provide bank account details that can accept USD disbursements.

4. Set Disbursement Preferences: Choose how and when you want to receive payments for your product sales.

5. Complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) Process: This is required if you want to get paid for Republic of Korea transactions, transact using U.K.-based bank accounts, or sell to EMEA customers.

6. Complete Bank Account Verification: Verify your bank account to receive disbursements.

Important Notes:

• If you're only offering free products, you only need to complete the public profile step
• For paid products (including data products), all registration steps are required
• You must be a permanent resident or citizen in an eligible jurisdiction, or a business entity organized or incorporated in one of these jurisdictions
• Data products have additional specific requirements

After Registration: Once registration is complete, you can create and publish products through the AWS Marketplace Management Portal. You'll be able to decide on your product type, choose a pricing model, create your product listing, and submit it for publication.
