Who receives CloudFront flat-rate plan usage notification emails?

0

We are considering using the CloudFront Business flat-rate pricing plan. According to the AWS documentation, automatic email notifications are sent when usage reaches 50%, 80%, and 100% of the monthly allowance: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonCloudFront/latest/DeveloperGuide/flat-rate-pricing-plan.html#usage-allowance However, the documentation does not specify which email address receives these notifications. Could someone confirm the notification recipient in these two cases?

  1. The CloudFront distribution belongs to a standalone AWS account (I assume the notification is sent to the account’s root user email address).
  2. The CloudFront distribution belongs to a member account in AWS Organizations.

For the Organizations case, is the notification sent to the member account’s primary/root email, its alternate contacts, or the management/payer account? Thank you.

CloudFront flat-rate plan usage notifications are automatically sent when you reach 50%, 80%, and 100% of your monthly allowance. While the documentation confirms these email notifications are sent at these thresholds, it does not explicitly specify which email addresses receive the notifications in different account configurations.

For standalone AWS accounts and member accounts in AWS Organizations, the documentation does not detail the specific recipient email addresses or how notifications are routed. The sources available do not address whether notifications go to the root user email, alternate contacts, or management account in an Organizations setup.

To get definitive confirmation about notification recipients for your specific account configuration, I recommend reaching out through the AWS Support Center at https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/ where the support team can provide precise details about how these notifications are delivered in both standalone and Organizations scenarios. This will ensure you have the correct information for planning your CloudFront Business flat-rate plan implementation.
