Is AWS Bedrock Requests Down for users ?

1

AWS Bedrock requests has been down since past few hours and I do not see any outages information anywhere though few people have been reporting. What could be the cause of the issue and when can we expect it to be back again?

Based on the available information, there is no official report or confirmation of AWS Bedrock being down for users. AWS typically reports service outages and issues on their Service Health Dashboard, and no such widespread outage for Bedrock has been officially acknowledged.

However, it's important to note that some users have reported experiencing slow response times with AWS Bedrock, particularly with Bedrock Agents. In one instance, a user mentioned that requests to a Bedrock Agent were taking 10-16 seconds, even when tested in the console. This suggests that while the service may not be completely down, some users might be experiencing performance issues.

If you're experiencing problems with AWS Bedrock, it's recommended to:

  1. Check the AWS Health Dashboard for any reported issues.
  2. Enable detailed logging and instrumentation in your application to identify potential bottlenecks.
  3. Contact AWS Support directly if the issue persists, as they can provide more specific assistance and investigate any potential account-specific problems.

Without official confirmation from AWS, it's difficult to determine the exact cause of the issues you're experiencing or provide an estimated time for resolution. If the problem is widespread, AWS would typically acknowledge it and work on a fix promptly. In the meantime, it's best to monitor the official AWS channels for updates and reach out to AWS Support for personalized assistance.
