Lightsail instance

How different is underlying provisioning mechanism for LightSail instance from EC2? Provisioning LightSail instance is lot faster than regular ec2 instances. Does lightsail also use Nitro technology or something else? what makes it faster? They are also stopped almost instantly.

Yes Lightsail instances also leverage the Nitro technology, which contributes to their improved performance. They are pre-configured instance types hence their management is very fast.

    No, I guess there is something different, Even the base minimum OS boots up very slower compared to lightsail instance.
