I have to move my Accounts AWS instances (RDS\EC2) from one Region to another will that also change the End Point (URL) for the same? If yes is there a way to keep it as is to minimize the impact?

The endpoint will change if an instance is launched in a different region.
As a countermeasure, it would be better to register the domain with Route53, etc.
If you change the region, you can exchange the values associated with the domain and the app will not need to make any changes.

  • Hi Riku,

This is the first time we're changing Region or Account & may not have to change it again. Although it sounds like a solution for websites or where instances Acc's or Regions changes frequently & spending is worth. But in my case i needed a quick solution where I don't have to make any changes in my Apps, with no monitory impact as well. Still I'll look into it & try to find out how much financial impact. Will Mark it as solution if it's worth it.

    Thanks!
