Oracle requires that the Amazon Machine Image (AMI) used for supported cloud instances should be based on Oracle Linux (OEL) for both the Oracle Database Server and SAP NetWeaver Application Servers with Oracle Instant Client installed.

You may refer to SAP note 2358420 - Oracle Database Support for Amazon Web Services EC2 and blog https://blogs.sap.com/2021/02/08/key-topics-for-running-sap-oracle-on-aws/ for latest information.

Oracle Linux AMIs for AWS can be found under community AMIs in EC2 from the user ID 131827586825.
