SES Production Access request pending for 4+ days with no response

-2

I submitted a request for SES production access on June 22, 2026 (Case #178211065200549). I provided detailed information about sending volume, list validation process, bounce/complaint handling, and authentication setup (SPF/DKIM/DMARC) as requested by AWS support.

I followed up twice but the case status still shows "Customer action completed" with no further response. I also opened a separate service limit increase case (#178247673300420) which remains "Unassigned."

All domain identities are verified and authentication is fully configured. Is there a typical wait time for production access approval on Basic Support, and is there anything else I should check or provide to help move this along?

I understand the frustration of waiting for your SES production access request. While I don't have visibility into specific case timelines or status updates, I can provide some guidance on the process.

For SES production access requests, AWS reviews each application to ensure compliance with email sending best practices and to protect the service's reputation. The review process can take several business days, and response times can vary based on current queue volumes and the complexity of your use case.

Since you've already provided detailed information about your sending practices, authentication setup, and compliance measures, you've taken the right steps. The "Customer action completed" status typically means AWS has received your information and the case is in their queue for review.

For your situation with your existing cases, the best path forward is to add correspondence directly through the AWS Support Center at https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/. You can provide any additional context or ask for a status update there. Make sure all your responses are submitted through the Support Center interface to ensure they're properly tracked.

If you find that response times don't meet your business needs, you might also want to review your AWS Support plan options. Higher-tier support plans (Developer, Business, or Enterprise) offer faster response times and additional support features that could be beneficial for time-sensitive requests like production access approvals.

In the meantime, ensure that all your domain verification and authentication records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) remain properly configured, as these will be verified during the review process.
