Amazon WorkMail "You have exceeded the sending limit for this account."

using service "Amazon WorkMail" sending emails to more than 2 recipients and I get: "You have exceeded the sending limit for this account." my coworker cannot even SEND emails, and simply gets that error.

We send maybe 0 or 1 emails per day. There is no way we are exceeding any kind of limitation. Last month we sent 17 emails. Usually there aren't even attachments.

How do I resolve this? I don't see any quota options anywhere nor do i need any warnings on the dashboard or anywhere saying we are "getting close to a quota".

I've found the other posts with questions and links back to the FAQ about how we can't send more than 50k emails per day and we should use SE5 instead. that isn't helpful and i didn't see any follow-up except other people chiming in with the same issue in those threads.

I did see one person suggest that I open a support ticket. How can I do this with the basic tier of support? I don't see any options to get to a support agent or chat.

already addressed both of those points in my initial post. nothing on dashboard and nowhere near normal quotas.

not sure how to reach out to support with basic level of service.

i'll update here if i find an actual solution or a way to get a hold of support.

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with sending mails. There are documented limits here. You situation seems like a intentional restriction. This can come from problems with your AWS Account or violations of TOS. For the later you should receive a notification on your personal health dashboard. For the first you will need to reach out to support so they can check your account.

Kind regards, Robin
