Hi Vin,
With Amazon Lightsail, it will match closely to the instructions you have from hostinger.com.
For the Record Type
- This would be TXT
For Record Name
- Include the @ symbol (this tells DNS to put the record in the apex or origin of the DNS zone
For Responds With
- This would be the value you have from your registrar for domain verification
Hope this helps!
Thank you for taking time to answer my query.
Hi Vin,
For those records, the record name
would be your subdomain, but the responds with
is the TXT record that the registrar is most likely querying to verify domain ownership. Your domain registrar hopefully has some documentation on what that would be. If not, please let us know so we can look into this deeper.
Hope this helps!
What do I do as I don't have a subdomain? I only have this domain vinzy.art which is I'm trying to add. I got the domain from Hostinger and this is their documentation regarding TXT: https://support.hostinger.com/en/articles/1583664-how-to-manage-txt-records-in-hpanel. It implies I should manage my TXT in Amazon since the nameservers were already pointed to my Ligthsail. Thank you for looking into my issue.

Hi GK, I don't know what to put in "Record Name" and "Responds with" when I try to add my TXT record.
