Account verification stuck - AWS Glue and CloudShell blocked for over a week

0

Hi AWS Team, My account verification has been stuck for over a week, and this is currently blocking access to multiple AWS services. I also have an open support case that has been pending without a response for more than 7 days.

Issues:

  1. AWS Glue job fails with the following error: AccessDeniedException: Account ****** is denied access (Service: AWSGlue; Status Code: 400; Error Code: AccessDeniedException)

  2. AWS CloudShell displays the following message: "Unable to create the environment. Your account verification is in progress."

What I have already checked:

  • IAM permissions are correct, including glue: permissions and the appropriate trust policy.
  • There are no Service Control Policies (SCPs), as this is a personal AWS account and is not part of an Organization.
  • There are no permission boundaries restricting access.
  • Service quotas are within the required limits.
  • The payment method is valid and active.
  • The AWS Glue job was running successfully in July 2026 before the account became blocked.

What I need:

I request that the AWS Accounts team urgently review my account verification status and perform the required backend synchronization of the account verification token, as this issue has reportedly been resolved for other users experiencing similar account verification problems.

My support case has already been open for more than 7 days without a response. Since the verification issue is preventing me from using essential AWS services, I kindly request an urgent escalation to the appropriate Accounts/Verification team and a resolution at the earliest.

Please let me know if you require any additional information or verification from my side.

I understand you're experiencing account verification issues that are blocking access to AWS Glue and CloudShell. These types of access restrictions are typically related to account-level verification processes that need to be resolved by AWS's account verification team.

For account verification issues, the best path forward is to work directly through the AWS Support Center. Since you have an existing case open, I recommend adding correspondence to that case through the AWS Support Center at https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/. When adding updates, include all the relevant details you've shared here about the specific services affected and the error messages you're receiving.

If you haven't received a response within the expected timeframe for your support plan, you may want to review your AWS Support plan options, as different support tiers offer different response time commitments. Business and Enterprise Support plans typically provide faster response times for production system issues.

Account verification issues are handled by specialized teams within AWS, and they require access to account-level information that can only be reviewed through official support channels. The Support Center is the appropriate venue for these account-specific matters, as the verification team can securely access your account details and take the necessary actions to resolve the verification status.

In the meantime, ensure that all account contact information is up to date and that you're checking for any communications from AWS regarding verification, as sometimes additional information or documentation may be requested to complete the verification process.
