What exact issues are you running into? Easiest way would be to perform a native backup on to s3 and then download the backup to your ec2 or on-prem machine and restore it. Please take a a look at this blog on how to configure native backup.

Ah apologies, the existing backup that I tried to use was corrupt, I took a fresh backup and it has worked perfectly. Many Thanks!
