Hi rtev,
Thanks for bringing the broken link to our attention, we'll take care of that quickly.
We suggest that customers now investigate using IoT SiteWise for OPC-UA data ingestion, see https://docs.aws.amazon.com/iot-sitewise/latest/userguide/industrial-data-ingestion.html.
Thanks,
Michael
Thank you. I'm interested in data orchestration with AWS Lambda and sending results to AWS Kinesis rather than SiteWise.

In that case, I'd recommend that you have a look at our new Stream Manager feature which lets you easily write data into a stream to be uploaded to Kinesis. You can learn more at https://docs.aws.amazon.com/greengrass/latest/developerguide/stream-manager.html
Hi Michael,
I am interested in using AWS Greengrass V1 for my own educational purposes.
I have discovered that the problem with the link still persists.
May I know if there are any plans to fix the link, or if the OPC-UA Connector functionality has been ported over to IoT SiteWise?
Any information on this matter would be very appreciated.
Thank you.
Hello Johnny,
The OPC-UA connector no longer exists, please see the documentation for sitewise instead. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/greengrass/v1/developerguide/iot-sitewise-connector.html
What link are you looking at which is broken? There are no links in the FAQ or documentation pages that I can find which point to the old connector.
Cheers,
Michael
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your kind reply, and for clarifying my doubts about the connector documentation.
I have checked out AWS SiteWise and managed to discover the information I needed in the documentation there.
And I would also advise any users looking for information on industrial protocol connectors to also check out AWS SiteWise.
Best Regards,
Johnny
