AWS Partner Network - Basic Tier Questions and Issues

-1

I have recently registered my company for the AWS Partner Network (APN) programme. I have several questions and issues I would like help with:

  1. Company Profile Visibility The AWS Partner documentation mentions that partner profiles are publicly visible, but I am unable to find our company profile anywhere on the partner directory. Where exactly can customers or others find a registered partner company's public profile? Partner portal: https://partners.amazonaws.com/

AWS partner profile

  1. Marketing Benefits What kind of marketing benefits does AWS provide to partners in the Basic Tier? I have registered but I cannot see any marketing benefits available to us currently.
  2. Service Tier Certification Requirements The AWS documentation mentions tier requirements, APN fees, and the number of Technical Essentials required — but what is the minimum certification criteria needed to move up from Basic Tier to the next service tier?
  3. Training, Resources and Tools What training, resources, and tools are available to partners in the Basic Tier? Also, how can a company officially display or add recognition that they are an AWS Partner?
  4. Linking AWS Certifications to Company Account I am facing an issue linking my AWS certification to my company's partner account. I have already added the company email as a secondary email in my certification account, but AWS is not recognizing it and the certification is not reflecting on the company profile. How can this be resolved?

Thank you for joining the AWS Partner Network! I'll address your questions based on the available information:

1. Company Profile Visibility Your company profile visibility can be managed through AWS Partner Central. You have both a Partner profile and a Seller profile where you can update your Display Name - this is how your company name appears to other AWS Partners and customers. The legal business name provided during registration is only visible to you and cannot be changed, but you can control your public-facing display name through these profile sections.

2. Marketing Benefits - Basic Tier Benefits in the AWS Partner Network can include various forms of support such as financial incentives (credits, cash disbursements, Marketing Development Funds), access benefits, recognition (digital badges, certifications), technical resources, and marketing support including co-marketing opportunities and featured partner status. However, advancing to higher tiers provides specific benefits including funding for market development and proofs of concept. Benefits are designed to reward partners based on their qualifications and contributions.

3. Moving Up from Basic Tier Partners progress through tiers by training and certifying their employees, registering references of completed projects, and demonstrating experience across multiple AWS services through multiple customer projects. The tier system is graduated, with higher tiers requiring more qualified personnel and a greater degree of experience across AWS services and customer projects.

4. Training, Resources and Tools As an APN member, you can access AWS trainings, enablement resources, and Well-Architected tools at no cost. AWS provides technical and business resources to help you build, market, and sell your offerings. For official recognition as an AWS Partner, digital badges and certifications are available as you progress through the program.

5. Linking AWS Certifications You can manage domains associated with your account for access and credit tracking purposes through the Training and Certifications tab in AWS Partner Central settings. This is where certification-related account management occurs. If you're experiencing issues after adding your company email, I recommend reaching out to AWS Partner Central support directly for assistance with the technical linking process.

I encourage you to explore the AWS Partner Central settings page through the left-hand navigation menu, where you can manage contact information, view your account summary, and access various account settings tabs for more detailed configuration options.

  • Thank you for the detailed response!

Regarding Point 1 - Public Profile Visibility: I understand I can manage my display name in Partner Central, but where exactly can a normal user or customer find and view my company's public profile? Is there a public directory or listing page where customers can search and find AWS partners? For example, something like an AWS Partner Finder or public directory URL where our company would appear?

Regarding Point 2 - Marketing Benefits: Could you please be more specific about what marketing support is actually available at the Basic Tier level? The documentation mentions terms like "co-marketing opportunities," "Marketing Development Funds," and "featured partner status" broadly, but I cannot find any of these options active or available in my Partner Central account right now. Specifically I would like to know:

Do Marketing Development Funds (MDF) apply at Basic Tier or only at higher tiers? What does "co-marketing" actually mean practically for a Basic Tier partner — do we get any AWS branding or joint campaigns? Is there a specific section in Partner Central where these marketing tools are accessible?

Any specific steps or direct links to these resources would be very helpful as the general documentation does not make it clear what is available at each tier level.
