Lightsail instance snapshot stuck in pending

I created an instance snapshot, but it took too long and I decided to terminate the instance.

Now the instance snapshot is stuck in pending state and I cannot delete it through the CLI, even after 8 hours.

How do I resolve this issue and remove the instance snapshot?

The issue has been resolved. The snapshot took about 15h to complete, after which I have deleted the snapshot.
